In 2005, British Muslims protested against anti-Muhamed cartoons published by some newspapers.
Big Brother Islamabad ordered its ISPs to block You Tube in Pakistan because its contents were blasphemous. Pakistan Telecommunications Authority told this to 70 ISPs in Pakistan. YouTube’s address was mistakenly placed on a global banned list and this resulted in disruptions globally as users were redirected to a hijacked address. The engineers at YouTube identified the problem and contacted PCCW.
