Elizabeth Hurley & Arun Nayar - tight purse strings

Elizabeth Hurley, 42, & Arun Nayar’s (43) Indian maid has claimed that she was paid only £1.20 per hour. The legal minimum wage is £5.52 per hour. She was brought into the UK by Arun’s family and suffered long hours of work. Violet d’Souza was due to go to court at the employment tribunal on Thursday but that was cancelled. The rumor was that her claims have been settled with a five figure sum.

This was not the first time that Elizabeth Hurley has been accused of having tight purse strings.
