Children are being employed as designers as they hand paint custom designs on clothing. Kids are good at splash paint prints, abstract designs and had drawn artwork. The children’s end product was so good that it would be a challenge to spot the difference between theirs and a high end fashion designer’s artwork.
Vivienne Westwood, an international fashion designer based in Paris, first discovered that children had talents to paint fabrics when a group of school children sent her their artwork for their school’s mini fashion show.
Vivienne asked the kids to paint themes and think about the messages. For example, she told the kids to be inspired by freedom fighters living in the jungle and paint jungle motifs for them.
Nicholas Sarkozy, the incumbent President of France, has been given a checklist to observe when he visits Queen Elizabeth on March 28, 2008. It was a thorough and cumbersome list.
Arthur C. Clarke died at the age of 90, in his adopted home of Sri Lanka. He was a prolific science fiction writer of more than 70 books and literature. He based his stories on laws of physics and did not conjure up imaginary fiction. He died on Tuesday, 7:30 pm GMT. He remained humble and accessible to his fans and often chatted with them over the phone.

Do they look like a happy couple?
Madonna & Guy Ritchie went for some couple time together at Harry’s Bar & Grill in London’s Mayfair. This dinner on Tuesday night, Mar. 18 was their first public outing since their family holiday in India in early Jan. this year. Ths public show of affection was meant to dispel rumors that their 7 year old marriage was in crisis.

Dame Maggie Smith, 73, has been fighting cancer and bravely working through her illness. Her most famous contemporary, recent role was as Harry Potter’s Professor McGonagall. She described herself as spiky and good at playing spiky, elderly ladies.

Anthony Minghella died from a fatal haemorrhage. He had throat cancer surgery and succumbed in the aftermath. He died at the age 54, at 5am, Mar. 18, 2008. One famous film he directed was Cold Mountain, in 2003. Renee Zellweger won an Oscar for her role. She put herself on a strict diet of eating only 2 hard boiled eggs daily.
